Harry Klinger died at his home on July 12, 2022 in Banner Elk, North Carolina. Harry was born to Charles and Elsie Klinger in Warren Township, New Jersey.
Mr. Klinger joined the army in 1960 and began as a firefighter in 1976 where he retired as a battalion chief in 1999. He later served as a volunteer fire chief in Banner Elk.
He was a proud patriot, and a #1 Alabama Crimson Tide fan. Harry received his bachelors of science degree from the University of Alabama and graduated with his Masters of Business from Dickinson University.
When Harry retired from the department he and his wife Vivian put roots down in their dream mountain town, Banner Elk, North Carolina.
Harry is survived by his wife Vivian, a daughter Kathy, and a granddaughter Kierstin.
A celebration of life service will be conducted Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Banner Elk, NC. Military honors will be provided by the US Army and VFW Pat Ray Post # 4286.
