    Conrad Braskey Cox, age 82, of Old Bristol Road, Boone, died Saturday morning, September 18, 2010 at the Watauga Medical Center. Born June 2, 1927 in Watauga County, he was a son of Thomas Braskey and Myrtle Norris Cox.
    Mr. Cox is survived by one sister, Ruby Wilcox of Meat Camp; three nieces, Mary Joyce Parsons and husband Blaine and Lois Turner, all of Meat Camp, and Janice Cornett and husband, Cecil, of Lenoir; four nephews, Jimmy cox and wife Julie, of Houston, Texas, Roger Dean Wilcox and wife, Becky, of Granite Falls, Donnie Cox and wife, Betsy, of Boone and David Wilcox and wife, Susan, of White Georgia; and his special friends, Ben and Shirley Fox and family, of Boone.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Ralph Cox, and two sisters, Betty Ruth Smith and Sarah Lucille Griffith.
    Graveside services for Conrad Braskey Cox will be conducted Monday afternoon, September 20, 2010 at 4 o'clock at Mount Lawn Memorial Park and Gardens, officiated by Rev. Bill Warren.
